Theme: Psychological Effects of Injuries
Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, students will:
Discuss the emotional challenges of recovering from an injury (e.g., frustration, depression).
Learn and correctly use vocabulary related to mental health during recovery (e.g., coping, motivation, support).
Explore and describe strategies to stay positive and motivated during recovery periods.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
Identify at least three emotional responses people may experience during injury recovery.
Define and use 5–7 key mental health vocabulary terms in context (written or spoken).
Explain two or more strategies to cope with emotional challenges during recovery.
Reflect personally on how they might handle the emotional impact of an injury.
Work collaboratively in a group to analyze and present a recovery scenario using appropriate vocabulary.
