A Different Kind of Holiday
Last summer, Mark didn’t go to the seaside like he usually does. Instead, he went on an adventure holiday in the Carpathian Mountains with his older brother. They stayed in a small wooden cabin near a beautiful lake.

Every morning, they woke up early. On the first day, they went hiking. The path was difficult, but when they reached the top of the mountain, the view was amazing. On the second day, they tried mountain biking. Mark fell off his bike once, but he wasn’t hurt.

The most exciting part was the third day — white-water rafting. The water in the river was very cold and moved fast. Mark was a bit scared at first, but it was great fun. In the evenings, they didn’t watch TV because there wasn’t one in the cabin. Instead, they made a campfire, cooked sausages, and looked at the stars.

Mark thinks it was the best holiday of his life. Next year, he wants to go there again and try rock climbing.
