This small French restaurant is elegant and relaxing. The tables are arranged to give you a feeling of privacy and there’s an excellent selection of well-known dishes from
Cog au Vin to Boeuf Bourguignon - classic French food at its best. It's expensive, but it's well worth the money for a special occasion.

Mexicana

Mexicana offers top quality Mexican and South American food in a relaxed atmosphere. The look is traditional, but the food is definitely modern, created by a chef who loves
experimenting. The dishes are full of new and exciting flavours, most with a generous helping of chilli! Prices are high, and it's small, so you need to book well in advance.

Temptations

This city centre café is open all day, serving drinks and snacks. There are some unusual drinks like strawberry
lemonade, and there’s an amazing range of fresh fruit juices too. The best thing is the delicious homemade cakes and ice creams - try the chocolate and coconut cake! Service can be a bit slow, but it's worth the wait!

The Vegetable Garden

If you're looking for modern vegetarian cooking at its best, The Vegetable Garden is the restaurant for you. All the dishes use fresh local ingredients and many of the vegetables are grown in the restaurant's garden. There are tasty bean dishes and the noodles are fantastic! Prices are quite high and it's only open at lunch times.

Pizza Plus

A great value restaurant serving pizzas and pasta dishes which are tasty and not expensive. There's plenty of choice, including vegetable-only options. There's live music most nights and the restaurant, which is quite big, is usually full of young people, so there’s often a real party atmosphere. The only problem is that the service can be slow.

The Shed

Located twenty minutes from the city centre, this lunchtime-only restaurant is big and busy. You order your food on tablet computers at the table, which is fun, and you can play on the tablet while you wait for your food. There's plenty of choice and the menu is mix and match, so you can choose exactly what you want.

Joe's Diner

Definitely sell the best burgers in town. The steaks are great too, with delicious handmade chips. It's popular with students, although others might not like the loud music
and bright lights. It isn't cheap and there isn't much choice unless you like steak or burgers! The portions are also too big for most people to finish.

Dario's

This lively café is right in the city centre. The reasonable prices make it popular, especially with students and young people. The evening menu isn't particularly exciting, but at lunch time there’s a great selection of tasty soups, fresh salads and some unusual sandwiches. Service is quick too.
