A Disastrous Weekend

Last weekend was supposed to be relaxing and fun, but it turned into a complete disaster. On Friday evening, I planned to leave work early and drive to a cozy cabin in the mountains with my friends. Everything was ready: the bags were packed, the snacks were prepared, and the car was full of gas. Unfortunately, when we started driving, it began to rain heavily.

By the time we reached the highway, the rain turned into a thunderstorm. The visibility was so poor that we could barely see the road. Suddenly, a loud noise came from the car. It was a flat tire! We pulled over to the side of the road, soaking wet as we tried to replace the tire. It took almost an hour, and by then, everyone was cold and miserable.

When we finally arrived at the cabin, it was already late at night. To our surprise, the power was out because of the storm. There was no electricity, no heating, and no lights. We found some candles in a drawer, but they only made the place look spooky.

The next morning, things got even worse. I wanted to make breakfast, but there was no gas to cook with. We decided to go to the nearest town to grab some food, but the car wouldn’t start. After calling a mechanic, we waited for hours, but he never showed up.

On top of that, my friend Sarah slipped on the wet porch and hurt her ankle. We had to call a local doctor, who said she should rest for a few days. By then, everyone was frustrated and tired.

In the end, we decided to leave early on Sunday morning. The rain had stopped, but the muddy roads made driving difficult. We got stuck twice and had to push the car out of the mud.

What was supposed to be a peaceful weekend turned into a nightmare. Next time, I’ll check the weather forecast and make sure everything is in perfect condition before going on a trip!
