Hi! I’m Peter. I study at a small local school. Last Saturday we went on a school trip. Unfortunately, my brother couldn’t go – he is too young. We visited a very unusual museum – Museum of Machinery. We have seen lots of interesting things and important inventions. There are many different clocks Egypt and Greece – water clocks and shadow clocks. Also the copies of first accurate clocks and watches from Switzerland are shown.

There are some models of the old cars which were designed by Karl Benz in Germany and then produced in the USA by Henry Ford. I was excited to see photos with these cars. Ford made car producing cheaper and more Americans could buy them. Ford’s car factories were popular working places in the USA and many people wanted to work there.

Also we saw a copy of Puffing Billy – one of the oldest American stream locomotives and watched a short film about it. Today people use modern electric trains. I was excited when the guide told that even today we can see a stream locomotive in work! There is a Puffing Billy Railway in Australia, where tourists can go on a trip by an old stream locomotive!
