Today was my first day at school after the summer break. I was really happy to see all my classmates again! By the way, a new student from Scotland has joined us. Alice seems nice but a little bit shy. I think she is just worried about having to make new friends.
The headteacher made a speech at the assembly hall where she told us about the new rules this year. And guess what? We can finally choose our subjects! Well, we still have to study Maths, History and English, but the rest is up to us. I'm going to take Chemistry and Physics. My best friend Tony, however, is interested in studying Literature and Art. We both want to join the school’s football team, though.
The school building has also changed a bit. The English classroom is now on the ground floor next to the library, and the science lab is on the second floor opposite the art classroom. There are ten more lockers on each floor and a new piano in the music classroom. They even put a digital map on the wall next to the entrance so that no one gets lost.
