Abstract. The article reveals the essence of music-didactic games as an effective means of developing musical, emotional, cognitive and social competences of preschoolers. Psychological and pedagogical approaches, neuropsychological foundations of the influence of musical activity on the child were analyzed, and the integrative potential of musical and didactic games was determined.
A system of exercises for implementation in music classes in preschool education institutions is presented. The results of modern research are presented, which confirm the effectiveness of game methods in the musical development of children
