The file contains five png pictures of the mood scale.
This is a good activity for practising Social-emotional learning (SEL). SEL is a methodology that helps students of all ages to comprehend their emotions better, feel those emotions fully, and demonstrate empathy for others.
I use this activity as warming up at the beginning of the lessons. I start the lesson with the question "On a scale of dogs (cup, monster etc.) what is your mood today". For the first time, learners can say the number of the picture, then they can name their feelings or emotions. Don't forget to ask "Why do they feel so?"
