By the end of the lesson, the students will have revised and used the following lexical items related to the topic “Money”: afford, bargain, overdraft, lend, saving account, current account, bank fees, withdraw money, interest, bill, cashpoint; phrasal verbs connected with money; modal verbs of obligation, prohibition and advice – present and past. By the end of the lesson, the students will have developed listening for gist and specific information in the context of a video “Saving apps”. By the end of the lesson the students will have developed reading for gist and specific information in the context of the text “Unusual currencies around the world”. By the end of the lesson the students will have developed speaking in the context of the dialogue “Money issue in the family”.
