THE STORY OF THE CLOUD
Ask your student the questions.
Have you ever admired the sky?
What did you like the most watching the sky? Why?
I like the sky because of the blue colour. When there are no clouds the sky looks very nice.
I like stars because they are the lights of the sky. They are bright. Sometimes I can see when the star falls down and I can think about the wish.
The Sun is so bright that I can’t look at it without sunglasses but I adore sunsets and sunrises. The sky is orange at that moment.
I like to see the Moon at night. It looks like a big plate. That is so interesting.
The clouds may bring rains. The Sun hides behind the clouds and it gets colder. That’s why I don’t like the clouds.)
Do you know the hobbies which may be connected with the sky and the air ?
(Parachuting, Kite surfing, kiting, ballooning, paraplanerism and others )
Tell your student that one of the hobbies connected with the sky is making the pictures of the clouds because they can have different forms and people may collect such photos.
Ask your student if he/she has ever said to his/her friend - “Oh, look. This cloud seems like the bird! And that cloud is like a big mountain ! It’s amazing!”.
Show your student the pictures with the clouds. Ask your student to say what he/she can see in these pictures .
(I can see clouds in the form of the animals)
Copy and cut out the vocabulary cards. Ask your student to read the words out and match them to the appropriate picture of the animal. Help if necessary.
Ask your student to describe each animal using the structure.
In the first picture I can see a … . This animal has got ….. Its …. is/are …. .
(For example, In the first picture I can see a horse. This animal has got a strong body with four hooves and lovely mane. Its tail is long.)
After describing each animal ask your student some extra questions to develop student’s imagination and creative thinking:
-Where is the horse running to/from?
-What is the sheep thinking about? What’s happened before?
-What is the bear looking at? Why is its mouth open?
- Where are the dolphins swimming ? How many dolphins can you see?
- Why does this bird have such long wings?
( possible answers – because it is the biggest bird in the world. It is a magic bird. It is the Queen of the sky)
Why is the hare trembling?
(Because the hare sees a big angry wolf that wants to eat it.)
Ask your student the questions.
-Have you ever seen these animals in a real life?
-Which of them did you see and where?
-Which animals in these pictures do you like the most and why ?
