The type of the lesson: a lesson in developing specific skills or competencies.
Aims:
to revise, practise and enrich pupils’ vocabulary on the topic “Ukrainian Food”;
to improve students’ linguistic knowledge and speech skills;
to revise and practise the use of degrees of comparison of adjectives with the active vocabulary;
to develop students’ critical thinking to solve practical tasks at the lesson;
to give communicative orientation to the educational process;
to provide the effective learning of the material and age-specific peculiarities of the students;
to develop students’ ability to work with others in order to achieve results without any conflicts at the lesson;
to bring up politeness and friendliness;
to strengthen motivation for mastering a foreign language.
Learning outcomes: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to make up a little dialogue using the active vocabulary and grammar; read and translate texts about Ukrainian dishes; form sentences using degrees of comparison.
Equipment: a grammar reference, schemes, cards, songs.
