Theme: Holidays in Ukraine and Great Britain
Objectives: to revise the vocabulary on the topic; to develop pupils’ reading, listening and speaking skills; to reinforce pupils’ knowledge of the topic.
Materials: pictures on the topic, a song, a magic box, an invitation card, handouts
T: Good morning, dear children. You look very happy. It’s great! So, let’s start our lesson.
Pupils, look at the blackboard. Here is a puzzle for you to do. There are some pictures. Name all the words in the pictures, take only the first letter of each word and you will read the topic of today’s lesson.
T: So, what key word have we got? (Holidays).
T: You are right. So the topic of our today’s lesson is Holidays in Ukraine and Great Britain.
T: Look at the blackboard. You can see a lot of different words. Let’s choose the words on the topic “Holidays”.
