Тема: Свята в Україні та світі.
Мета:
● Практична:
- формувати навички монологічного мовлення учнів на рівні мікровисловлювання з опорою на наочність та ключові слова;
- вчити учнів уживати порядкові числівники в усному та писемному мовленні;
- продовжувати практикувати учнівські навички аудіювання, читання, писемного та усного мовлення.
● Освітня:
- ознайомити учнів з особливостями святкування традиційних свят у світі;
- поглибити знання учнів з українознавства.
● Розвивальна:
- розвивати увагу, пам’ять, мовну здогадку та фонематичний слух;
- розвивати вміння ефективно працювати в різних режимах навчання і контролю ( самостійно, в парах, в групах).
● Виховна:
- виховувати в учнів повагу до національних традицій та звичаїв;
- виховувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови та народознавства Великобританії.
Обладнання: зошит, підручник, аудіозапис колядки, ноутбук, презентація, картки, роздатковий матеріал, малюнки.
Хід роботи:
І. Початковий етап уроку:
1.Привітання. Організаційний момент.
- Good morning, children! Get ready for the lesson. How are you today? I am glad to see you. Today we have an interesting topic. Look at the pictures on the blackboard and try to guess what we are going to speak about.
- (Відповіді учнів).
- You are right. We are going to speak about holidays and celebrations in Ukraine and in the world. Let’s start with phonetics.
2.Фонетична зарядка.
- You see a poem on the blackboard. Listen, repeat it after me and read.
Holidays are fine,
Holidays are nice,
Just play and sing,
Enjoy them and dance!
3. Мовленнєва зарядка.
- Guess a holiday and match with the pictures:
1.This is the day when we decorate fir-trees and pine-trees.( New Year)
2.This is the day when we paint eggs and bless food in the church.(Easter)
3.This is the day when we congratulate our veterans.(Victory day)
4.This is the day when pupils congratulate their teachers.(Teacher’s Day)
5.This is the day when we celebrate the independence of our country.(Independence Day)
6.This is the day when we celebrate the birth of Christ.(Christmas)
7.This is the day when we give presents and send cards to people we love.

8. This is the day when we find presents under the pillows. ( St. Nicholas’ Day)
9. This is the day when we go trick-o-treating. ( Halloween)
10.This is the day when the Americans usually have roast turkey, pumpkin pie and sweet potatoes. ( Thanksgiving)
ІІ. Основна частина уроку:
1. Перевірка домашнього завдання.
- Let’s check your homework. Your task was to read and translate the text and answer the questions.( Ex.4 p. 117)
Besides you also had to listen and sing the carol “ Silent Night”. Let’s sing.(Ex.5 p. 117)
2. Розгадування кросвордів.
- There are some puzzles. You have to do them. Who will be the first to finish the task?
3. Хвилинка – відпочинку.
-Now, it’s time to have some time to relax .Watch the presentation and answer the questions about Christmas.
4. Повторення теми “ Порядкові числівники”.

-Read the text to find out why this day is special for Melanie and her family.
