ТЕМА. Узагальнення матеріалу за темою «Подорож».

МЕТА: систематизувати знання лексичного матеріалу за темою «Подорож»; ознайомити учнів з новою лексикою; удосконалювати вміння використовувати засвоєну лексику в усному та писемному мовленні; навчати вживати мовні кліше в ситуаціях; формувати практичні вміння правильно вживати граматичний матеріал; розвивати навички читання та перекладу незнайомого тексту; навчати учнів встановлювати значення незнайомих слів з контексту; удосконалювати навички аудитивної компетенції школярів; розвивати навички діалогічного мовлення; навчати учнів складати невеликі монологічні висловлювання за темою«Подорож» ; формувати навички культури поведінки на уроках; розвивати мовну здогадку, логічне мислення, увагу учнів; розвивати творчі здібності учнів; розширювати кругозір учнів.

5. Розвиток навичок аудіювання.

A lot of people all over the world are fond of travelling. They travel to see other countries, to enjoy picturesque places, to discover different ways of life or just for a change of scene. People travel on business and for pleasure having at their disposal various means of transport. So it is impossible to imagine our life without traveling. People can express their emotions in different ways. Some of them draw pictures of their favourite places. others write poems. I have found a very nice poem for you. Let’s read it with a bit of feeling and think of your own emotions and associations.


What is travelling for?

What is travelling for me?
It is the shining sun
, the sea;
The golden sand which look like beads;
The blue-eyed sky and tender breeze.
What do I see when close my eyes?
A milk-white ship with two red strips;
The limpid clouds at the dawn
And sun
, that rises all alone…
And when the twilight falls from height.
The night appears from heaven’s gate.
I see the moon in magic light
And stars
, that sparkle at the night.
That’s what I’m looking for in dreams
,
And they are my inspiring beams!
I want to see it to behold
And travel all over the world!

3) Now look attentively at the questions written on the blackboard, try to understand the text and find out the correct answer.

Almost all people are fond of travelling. It is very interesting to see new places, another towns and countries. People may travel either for pleasure or on business. There are various means of travelling. For me there is nothing like travel by air; it is more comfortable, more convenient and, of course, far quicker than any other means. There is none of the dust and dirt of a railway or car journey, none of the trouble of changing from train to steamer and then to another train.

With a train you have speed, comfort and pleasure combined. From the comfortable seat of a railway carriage you have a splendid view of the whole countryside. If you are hungry, you can have a meal in the dining-car; and if a journey is a long one you can have a wonderful bed in a sleeper.

Travelling by ship is also very popular now. It is very pleasant to feel the deck of the ship under the feet, to see the rise and fall of the waves, to feel the fresh sea wind blowing in the face and hear the cry of the seagulls.

Many people like to travel by car. It is interesting too, because you can see many sights in a short time, you can stop when and where you like, you do not have to buy tickets or carry your suitcases.

A very popular means of travelling is hiking. It is travelling on foot. Walking tours are very interesting. Hitch-hiking is a very popular method of travelling among young people. But it is not as popular in our country as abroad.


9. Розвиток навичок письма.

Everybody knows that different kinds of travelling have their own positive and negative aspects.

You are divided into 2 teams. The first team! You should think of disadvantages.

The second team will try to find out only advantages.


Possible answers

1) Air travel is quicker than other means of transport.

2) People enjoy travelling by air because of the meal and the entertainment on board.

3) The time goes by more quickly when travelling by plane.


disadvantages

1) The trip to the airport took almost as long as the flight.

2) There are usually long queues at the check-in.

3) Flying often involves delays and cancellation.

4) Turbulence can also spoil the flight.


10. Діалогічне мовлення.

1)Imagine you are going to travel.

а) First you should pack your things. You have different pictures on the desks. But what are you going to take? Start your answer with the phrase: “I’m going to take...”. Ask any person in your group. Follow this model as an example:

PI: I’m going to take a camera, a swimming costume, sunglasses, money with me. What are you going to take?

P2: I’m going to take a passport, a phrase book and money.
