Famous Places in London
London, the capital of the United Kingdom, is one of the most exciting cities in the world. It is famous for its history, culture, and beautiful landmarks that attract millions of tourists every year.
One of the most well-known places in London is Big Ben. Many people think that Big Ben is the clock, but actually, it is the name of the bell inside the clock tower. This tower is part of the Houses of Parliament, where important decisions are made for the country.
Another famous attraction is the Tower of London. It was built almost 1,000 years ago and has been used as a royal palace, a prison, and even a zoo! Today, visitors can see the Crown Jewels there and learn about the tower’s dark and fascinating history.
Buckingham Palace is the official home of the British royal family. Many tourists come to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony, where soldiers in red uniforms and black hats march in front of the palace.
