Vocabulary / Progress test 2 (B1)

I’ve just (1) ____ for a Chinese course at the local college. (2) ___ my father's parents are from China. My father came to England when he was very young and only speaks a little Chinese. I'm good at languages, but Chinese is not as (3) _____ as languages like English or French. Next year I’d like to start learning Spanish as (4) ____ as Chinese because both are useful languages. Last week I went into the (5) ____ to look for some old photographs of my father's family in China. I don’t know much (6) ____ about my father's family because he left the country when he was so young. When I was at the college this morning, I found several interesting books about China (8) ____ sale in the bookshop. I'm planning to visit China next year, so I want to discover as much as I can about the country before I go. I want to travel by (9) ____ transport and it’ll be easier if I can speak some Chinese.
