One of the most emotional moments was when the younger students gave us handmade cards. I still remember the drawing one little girl gave me — a school with angel wings, flying toward the sun. It symbolized hope, freedom, and dreams — everything we were about to chase.

Our class teacher, Mrs. Brown, then took the microphone. She had taught us English for four years, and we shared countless memories in her classroom. Her voice trembled slightly as she spoke. “You were my noisy, curious, creative group,” she smiled. “I’ve watched you grow, and I am proud of each one of you.” Hearing that from someone who guided us through so many lessons made us feel appreciated.

After the speeches, came the traditional performance part of the event. Some students sang songs, others recited poems. I had helped to write a short play about school life, full of inside jokes and silly memories. The audience laughed, applauded, and, at times, grew quiet with emotion. After the ceremony, we didn’t want to leave. We took endless photos, hugged our teachers, and promised each other we would stay in touch. Of course, we knew life would soon take us in different directions — some to college, others to new schools or work — but that day was ours.

Now, when I think back to that moment, everything is painted with nostalgia. The Last Bell wasn’t just a school tradition — it was a rite of passage. It taught me that life is made of seasons, and every ending holds the promise of a new beginning. I carry the memory of that day like a small treasure in my heart.

Sometimes I imagine walking through the school corridors again — hearing the bell ring, opening my locker, whispering with friends during lessons. We didn’t realize back then how precious those ordinary moments were. The laughter in the classroom, the group projects, the school trips — they all seem brighter in the light of memory.

Life moves forward, and we all change. But the Last Bell ties us to a part of ourselves we must never forget — the younger, more innocent version of who we are. And through that nostalgic lens, the memory of school days becomes not only beautiful but unforgettable.
