The Adventures of the Living Easter Egg. 6 class

It was a sunny spring morning in a small Ukrainian village. Birds were singing, flowers were blooming, and children were laughing. In a little house near the forest, a girl named Sofia was painting Easter eggs with her grandma.

“Let’s make this one very special,” said Grandma. She took a white egg and gave it to Sofia. Sofia smiled and painted the egg with bright red, yellow, and blue colors. She drew a small sun, a tree, and a happy face on the egg. “You are my favorite egg,” she whispered and placed it in a basket.

That night, something magical happened. A soft glow came from the basket. The special egg started to move! Then, with a small pop, it grew tiny legs and arms. The egg blinked its painted eyes and stood up.

“I’m alive!” it said. “I’m a real egg now!”

The egg looked around and saw that the house was quiet. Everyone was sleeping. The egg climbed out of the basket and walked to the door. It wanted to see the world.

The door was closed, but the egg was smart. It jumped on a chair, then onto the table, and finally reached the window. It opened the window slowly and jumped out into the garden.

“Oh, what a beautiful night!” said the egg. The moon was shining, and the stars were twinkling. The egg walked through the garden and met a big black cat.

“Hello,” said the cat. “Who are you?”

“I’m a living Easter egg,” said the egg proudly.

“That’s strange,” said the cat. “Eggs don’t talk.”

“I do!” said the egg. “I want to see the world and have an adventure.”

“Then come with me,” said the cat. “I know where to go.”

The cat and the egg walked through the village. They saw houses, trees, and even a small river. The egg jumped into a boat and said, “Let’s go sailing!”

The cat laughed and pushed the boat. The egg sailed across the river. But suddenly, a strong wind blew the boat away. “Help!” cried the egg.

The cat jumped into the water and swam after the boat. Finally, it caught the boat and pulled it back to the land.

“Thank you, cat,” said the egg. “You saved me.”

“Be careful next time,” said the cat. “You are small and round. You can roll away!”

The egg laughed. “I like to roll!”

They continued walking and met a group of frogs. The frogs were singing.

“Ribbit, ribbit, join our song!” they said.

The egg started to dance. The frogs clapped and jumped around.

“You are a funny egg,” said one frog.

“Thank you,” said the egg. “I like to dance and laugh.”

The night was long, but the egg wasn’t tired. It visited a bakery and ate a small piece of bread. Then it went to the playground and slid down the slide.

“This is the best night ever,” said the egg.

But soon, the sky turned pink. The sun was rising.

“Oh no!” said the egg. “I must go back home before Sofia wakes up.”

“Let’s go,” said the cat.

They ran through the village, past the river and the garden, and back to the little house. The egg climbed through the window and jumped into the basket just as the sun came up.

Sofia woke up and ran to the basket.

“My favorite egg!” she said. “You are still here!”

The egg didn’t move. It looked just like the others. But deep inside, it smiled.

It had a secret. It had a story to tell.

And every night, when the moon was high, the egg opened one eye and waited for the next adventure.
