My Friend's Favourite Dish

My friend and I enjoy going out. We like to visit the restaurant in our neighbourhood, where Irish meals are served. The restaurant is small but cosy, it always has a nice atmosphere. My friend's favourite dish is Irish stew. This dish always consists of meat, potatoes and vegetables and it usually includes carrots and leeks. The meat is typically lamb, but you can use beef or rabbit instead. My friend likes to cook such stew at home, too. He simmers all the ingredients in a large pot. It is served hot. A Visit to Paris

Dear Frank,

I'm in Paris now. I'm visiting my cousin Victor. We're having a good time here. Victor and I have visited the exhibition devoted to Claude Monet. You know, he was born in Paris, France. The artist didn't want to paint traditionally, so he created a new style of art called Impressionism. He became well-known after he had finished his painting "The Woman in the Green Dress" in 1866. Monet married Camille Doncieux in 1873. They had two sons. Between 1883 and 1908 Monet was travelling to the Mediterranean and painting lots of beautiful landscapes and seascapes. He died in Giverny France, in 1926.

As for me, I like his paintings very much. I advice you to visit Paris and to see his wonderful pictures.
