When we talk about getting information, we usually think of the Internet. However, what about books? They were one of the first sources of information in the world.
For almost 4000 years everything was written on papyrus. When paper was invented, people still had to copy the book they liked by hand. The printing machine was created in the 15th century by German inventor Gutenberg, which made the process much easier.
Today there are many libraries and bookshops where you can get books, or you can order them online. It’s also possible to read books on your smartphone or tablet. They are called e-books.
They say, 'When you open a book, you open a new world. This means that books not only bring you new information but also develop your imagination, give you fresh ideas in different spheres and even inspire you.
For example, Elon Musk, one of the busiest men on the planet, was once asked about the secret to his success. He answered, ‘I read books. A LOT.' Later, his brother added that Elon could even finish two books in a day.
Of course, it's up to you to choose how you get your information, but not all sources can develop your creative side the way books can.
