A Welder at Work
A welder joins metal parts by using heat. A welder can work with steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other metals. Before welding, the welder checks the welding machine and prepares the workpiece.
The welder must wear protective clothing, gloves and a welding helmet. During welding, an electric arc produces very high temperature. The welder controls the welding current and voltage.
After welding, the welder checks the weld for defects such as cracks, pores, slag and spatter. Good welding requires accuracy, experience and safety.
