Last year, my school arranged a student exchange programme in Germany. It was a bit expensive and, at first, my parents were to pay for it, but I persuaded them to. I was really excited about traveling a(n) place.
I stayed with a girl called Claudia and her family in a small village in Bavaria. Their village was beautiful. Claudia was great fun but her little brother was a bit annoying and so I preferred it when it was just the two of us. Unfortunately, Claudia's father didn't speak any English so, when I first arrived, we were of any communication. But by the end of the two weeks I was there, my German had improved s lot and we had some proper conversations. Of course, body language also helped. Claudia is moving to Berlin next year, so it is that I'll ever visit her village again, which is a shame.
