I live in Australia. Yes, my country’s quite far from others. It lies between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. It’s also the smallest continent in the world. The climate here is rather dry – most of Australia is desert and is generally inhabited along the coast.
As for my city, Sydney, it’s one of the greatest places to live – there are many interesting things to see and do. Most people only think of the Sydney Opera House, but this city has so much more to offer: beaches and parks where you can relax, for example.
If you’re into sport, you can play beach volleyball or tennis. The most popular sport is surfing – it’s perfect for those who like extreme activities. To learn about our history and culture, visit the Australian Museum and the White Rabbit Gallery. There are also a lot of cafes and restaurants serving local food.
Personally, I love my city very much. I often walk along the coast with my friends after school, and we enjoy the view of the ocean. Sure, it’s hot, but we’re used to that. We go sailing at weekends, too. I used to play beach golf, but it drove me crazy trying to find that tiny ball in the sand all the time.
