Last July my parents and I spent a whole week at a holiday camp near the seaside. It was my first time staying in such a place, so I was both excited and a little nervous. We lived in a small wooden bungalow with two bedrooms and a terrace that looked directly at the sea. Every morning I woke up early because the sunlight came through the window and the sound of the waves filled the room.

On the first day, we joined a guided tour around the camp. There were many activities to choose from: swimming lessons, beach volleyball, canoeing, and even a small climbing wall. I decided to try canoeing because I had never done it before. It was harder than I expected, but the instructor was friendly and helped me paddle correctly. By the end of the lesson, I could move the canoe without going in circles.

The next day, my family and I went on a long walk along the coast. We found some interesting shells and took photos of the cliffs. The weather was perfect—warm, but not too hot. In the afternoon, we swam in the sea, and my dad taught me how to dive. I was scared at first, but after a few tries I managed to dive properly, and it felt amazing.

One evening the camp organized a talent show. Some campers sang, others danced, and a few performed magic tricks. I didn’t take part, but I enjoyed watching everyone. My favorite performance was a boy who played the guitar so well that everyone started clapping before he even finished his song.

On the last day, we had a big barbecue on the beach. We cooked vegetables, fish, and marshmallows. I felt a little sad because the week passed so quickly, but I was happy that I had so many new experiences. It was definitely one of the best holidays I’ve ever had.
