Once upon a time on Christmas Eve…
It was a starry night on 25th December, Christmas Eve, last year. Peter and his little sister Betty hung their Christmas stockings over the fireplace in the living room for Santa Claus to put the presents. Then they went to bed. Soon they were in their bedssleeping quietly.
At that very moment, Santa was in his sleigh riding very fast over the town. The sleigh stopped onthe roof of house number 53. It was Peter and Betty’s house. Santa climbed down thechimney. But oh no! He got stuck and could not get out.
He made so much noise that Peter and Betty woke up and went to the living room. There, they saw Santa’s boots sticking out of the fireplace. They decided to help him and started to pull his boots. They tried hard and finally they pulled Santa out.
He thanked them for their help and gave them their presents: a
remote controlled car for Peter and a dollhouse for Betty. They were very excited.
Then they offered Santa some Christmas pudding. He liked it a lot. He also liked their Christmas tree and decorations.
When the time came for Santa to leave he didn`t leave through the chimney, he left through the front door. The children waved him good-bye and watched his reindeer fly up into the sky.
