My Jacket Saved My Life
Three days ago Isabel Horton went on skiing holiday with her parents and her brother. Before they left, they bought some new ski clothes.
‘ I got a really bright red jacket’, says Isabel. “I liked it a lot but the others didn’t. My brother said: “It’s really ugly and horrible”.
On the second day of their trip, Isabel and her brother were on slopes. Suddenly, there was a terrible avalanche.
‘there was a loud noise and fell down. We were really scared. We didn’t know what it was. Then, there was snow everywhere... that’s all I remember’, says Isabel.
Three hours later, John Bourne, a helicopter pilot, found Isabel and her brother.
‘I saw this bright red thing in the snow’, he says. ’That’s how I found them’.
So, Isabel’s ugly jacket saved her life and her brother’s. Of course, he doesn’t think that Isabel’s jacket is horrible any more!
