MEXICO
In general, Mexicans are happy, friendly people who like to have a good time, but that doesn't mean that there aren't things to remember when visiting the country. For example, if you are invited to Mexican's house, it is a good idea to bring a gift like flowers or sweets. It is also a good idea to arrive late if a Mexican invites you to their home. Generally Mexicans arrive at least thirty minutes late to such invitation. In fact if you arrive on time , it might be considered rude. If invited for dinner it is good manners to wait for the hosstess to start before you start eating. When doing business with Mexicans, always arrive on time, even if your Mexican's contacts arrive late. Also, Mexicans prefer face-o-face negotiations to telephone conversations or communicating by email.
AUSTRALIA
In general, Australians are relaxed friendly people. It is typical for Australians to say "G"day when meeting someone. If you are invited to an Australian's house it is a good idea to take a present like a box of Chocolate to the hosstess. You might be invited to "barbie" (a barbecue outside in someone's garden). If you are, it is typical to take your own drinks. Your hosts might even ask you to bring your own meat! If you are invited to dinner, you should arrive on time. When you are eating your dinner, don't put your elbows on the table and keep your hands above the table. If you do business with Australians , be punctual. In business Australians can be quite direct and you should be direct too.
