My Life as a Shopaholic

Hi everyone! My name is Lily, and I am a shopaholic. I love shopping more than almost anything else. For me, shops are not just places to buy things; they are places where I relax, dream, and feel happy.

I usually go shopping when I am bored, stressed, or even sad. New clothes, shoes, and bags always make me feel better. When I see a “SALE” sign, I completely lose control. I tell myself I am only looking, but I always leave the shop with at least one bag in my hands.

Online shopping is my biggest weakness. I can sit on my sofa in pajamas and buy things with just a few clicks. Sometimes I forget what I ordered until the package arrives. It feels like a small surprise gift — from me to me.

However, being a shopaholic is not always fun. At the end of the month, my bank account looks very sad. I often buy things I don’t really need, and some clothes stay in my wardrobe with the price tags still on them. That’s when I start asking myself: Why did I buy this?

Now I am trying to change my habits. I make shopping lists, wait a few days before buying something, and think more carefully. I still love shopping, but I want to be a smart shopaholic, not a careless one. After all, happiness doesn’t always come in a shopping bag — even if it’s a very pretty one 😉
