In June, I went to the Plymouth Film Festival for the first time. I stayed with my aunt in Plymouth city centre, and I was there for the whole weekend of the festival. I had a great time. Everything, from the films to the food available in restaurants and cafés near the Arts Centre, was exactly right. But I especially loved the short animated films and the comedies. I can’t wait to see more next June.

Emma
The Plymouth Film Festival is always a wonderful weekend. All the people who work to make the festival happen are so friendly and really love the films they show. This year it was difficult to choose which films to see because there were so many different kinds, from horror films to musicals. I wanted to see many more but I didn’t have time. The best thing that I saw was the winner of the student’s prize. It was a short drama called Uncle.

Taras
There were lots of good things about Plymouth Film Festival. The only problem was that it was too short. For me, no other film festival is as good as this one, and I’d like it to be for two weeks instead of two days. One great thing was making new friends after every film – we all loved the films and talked for hours about them. I’d like to go back to Plymouth soon – what a great place. I really want to learn more about its history.
