Political system of the UK

THE CABINET 

     The party which               [wins, won, is winning] (1) the most seats in the General Election             [forms, formed, is forming] (2) the government. 

The leader of the winning party             [becomes, became, has become] (3) Prime Minister.

As leaders of their political parties and leaders of the country, Prime Ministers are          [happy, powerful, wealthy](4) because they have the majority support in                 [House of Lords, Parliament, Senate] (5) and they can choose their own ministers and government. 

The PM chooses a committee of ministers         [having, that, called]  (6) the Cabinet

This is made up of a selection of senior MPs       [for, from, at] (7) the House of Commons and some members ofthe House of Lords. 

Each member ofthe Cabinet is a minister             [responsible, elected, running] (8) for a government department: for example, the Secretary of State for Education and Science is responsible for all the             [departments, schools, members] (9), universities and teachers in Britain. 

The Cabinet of Ministers runs the country. The Cabinet       [meets, calls, runs] (10) at the Prime Minister's House - 10 Downing Street. 

The Cabinet works as a team and all ministers       [can, may, must] (11) accept the  decisions of the "group". 

The team of ministers must always agree in public because they are collectively responsible for the                 [decisions, responsibility, selections] (12) they

make.
