Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is  the home of Queen Elizabeth II and her family. The palace has 600 rooms and 1000 windows.  There are beautiful gardens and a lake outside the palace. When the Queen is there, a special royal flag is flown on top of the palace.

The Queen's guards stand at the front of the palace. They guard the palace in shifts. Every morning, at 11:30, a new shift begins. It is called "The Changing of the Guard". Many people come to watch this ceremony.  A band plays music and the guards march up and down.

London Eye

The London Eye is a giant wheel with 32 capsules. There are seats in each capsule. The wheel turns slowly. It takes us high up in the sky and gives us a breathtaking view of London. We can see all the famous landmarks from up there!
