What a trip!
by Alan Reardon
I’ve travelled to many countries in my life, but my trip to Mexico last year was the best. Unfortunately, the trip didn’t start very well. When I arrived in Mexico City, I wasn’t feeling well, so I spent the first two days in bed and saw nothing of the city.
However, on the third day nothing could stop me from getting on the plane to Acapulco. I’ve seen people do amazing things, but the cliff divers of La Quebrada were something else! They jumped from a height of 45 metres! I did something exciting too, but less dangerous: I went scuba diving near Acapulco. The fish down there were so beautiful that I was sorry I didn't take an underwater camera with me to take pictures.
During the month I stayed in Mexico, I went surfing in Baja California, swam with dolphins in Puerto Vallarta and climbed Iztaccihuatl, which is one of Mexico’s most amazing volcanoes. The view from up there was impressive.
I had a lot of fun and I’m definitely going back some time in the future.

Spending Free Time
It’s very important to have some free time. People spend their free time in different ways. My name is Mike. My friends enjoy going in for sports – we play football and tennis in the yard. My favourite hobby is reading. I like adventure books. My brother Dick likes music. Music helps him to relax and feel refreshed.
My parents often visit our grandmother in the country. They help her about the house and in the garden. On Sunday we often go for walks in the park together. My father enjoys fishing, my mother likes cooking. My cousin Nina is good at swimming. She often goes to the swimming club at the weekend. To my mind, watching a film in the cinema is more exciting than trying to watch it at home. If there’s no interesting film on at the cinema, my friends and I often go to a skating-rink. My classmates prefer to watch TV and play computer games.
