It was a warm and sunny morning. The last day of school had come. Everyone in class 7 was excited. Some students were laughing, others were taking selfies, and a few were already crying. The seventh grade was over, and it was time to say goodbye—for now.
Our English teacher, Miss Emma, came into the room with a big smile. She looked at us and said, “Today, we will not do lessons. Today, we will make memories.” Everyone clapped. We were ready for something special.
Miss Emma gave each of us a piece of paper. “Write a short message for your classmates,” she said. “You can write something kind, funny, or just a good wish.” We sat in groups and started writing. Some wrote jokes, others shared memories. One boy wrote, “I will never forget how we all got wet in the rain during our school trip!” Another girl wrote, “Thank you for helping me in math class. You are a good friend.”
After that, we went outside to take a group photo. We stood in front of the school. The sun was shining, and everyone looked happy. The photographer counted, “One, two, three—smile!” We all smiled and made funny faces. Some held signs saying “7-A forever” and “Best class ever.” That photo will always remind us of this day.
Then, the fun part started—a flashmob! Two students had planned it a week before. They chose a cool song, and everyone learned the moves. When the music began, we danced together in the schoolyard. Teachers came out to watch us. Some of them even danced with us! It was so much fun.
After the dance, we sat in a big circle on the grass. Miss Emma gave each student a card. On the card was a photo from the school year and a short message from her. Some messages were funny, some were touching. Mine said, “Keep shining, you are a star!” I felt so happy to read it.
Then we shared our memories. One girl said, “I remember when we went to the zoo and the monkey threw a banana at us!” Everyone laughed. Another boy said, “I liked our English lessons when we acted in short plays.” Many students agreed. Our plays were always funny and creative.
Later, we had snacks and drinks. Some students brought cookies, sandwiches, and juice. We sat on picnic blankets, listened to music, and talked. Some were talking about their summer plans. “I’m going to the sea,” one said. “I will visit my grandparents,” another added.
As the day ended, we wrote on each other’s T-shirts with colorful markers. We wrote names, hearts, stars, and funny quotes. My friend wrote on my shirt, “Never stop smiling!” I wrote on hers, “Stay awesome!” We promised to keep the shirts forever.
Before going home, we made a memory box. Everyone put something inside: a pen, a bracelet, a note, or a photo. We closed the box and wrote, “Do not open until graduation day.” It was a special moment. We knew we would see each other again, but this day was unique.
At the end, Miss Emma hugged each of us. “You are all amazing,” she said. “I will miss you.” Some students cried, but they were happy tears. We took one last photo together, this time with Miss Emma in the middle. Then we waved goodbye.
It was a perfect day—full of smiles, hugs, songs, and memories. The seventh grade was over, but our friendship and stories would stay forever. We were ready for new adventures, but we would always remember the last day of 7th grade.
