A Broom Dog
Nature is constantly making new creations. There are not only animals familiar to us in the world, but also animals that are capable of striking the imagination. One such representative is the Hungarian Shepherd or the Komondor as they say.
This dog appears to be one of the calmest and kindest breeds in the world, while taking care of it may have some pitfalls. The fact is that the hair of this animal reaches one meter in length. It is almost impossible to comb it. The strands must be separated as they grow so that the wool does not roll. Over time, the wool of the Komondor collapses into the laces and the host needs to trim it, so the dog does not fall over while walking. Due to this feature, the average height of the pet is 80 centimetres and they are one of the largest dogs in the world.
The breed comes from Tibetan dogs brought to Hungary, used as shepherds of cattle and guardians of Nomadic tribes in the ninth century. For centuries, these animals protected houses and farmlands from raids. Although they are not aggressive and do not require additional training, it is advisable to set certain rules and manner of behaviour with the Komondor.
The Hungarian Shepherd is a large dog with a strong, muscular body. Its head is massive and proportionate to its chest. Its eyes are almond-shaped, dark and covered with wool. Its ears are large, lowered and covered with thick fur. Its tail is long and lively and always helps to dust the furniture at home.
The Komondor is a rare breed, and it can be difficult to find a good breeder with puppies. They are caring parents and look after their babies with extreme caution. Children adore playing with small Komondor dogs as they resemble tiny fluffy toys.
Despite being friendly and loving with their hosts, this breed is hostile to other animals. If a family wishes to have several pets, they will not get on well with the Komondor. These dogs are domineering and will act aggressively towards others, so the only way out is to be loyal to one dog.
