The Big Competition

Lisa's dream was to become a coach and help young athletes. She loved sports and tried different activities like sailing, horse riding, and the long jump. Her lifestyle was active, and she enjoyed aerobics and fencing.

One day, her school announced a sports competition. Lisa joined the basketball team. The school provided all the necessary equipment, so she didn’t have to afford expensive things. The team trained hard, but Lisa found basketball very competitive. She had to learn how to dribble, to bounce, and to shoot the ball.

During a match, Lisa fell and got injured. The coach called a timeout to check on her. "Can you handle it?" he asked. Lisa nodded and returned to the court. She scored a goal, earning her team a point.

Although they lost to the opposing team, Lisa didn’t see it as a failure. "Every generation has its champions," she thought. She knew that with time, she would improve. After the game, she enjoyed watching a skateboarding show with her friends.
