Kyiv is very old. People say that the founder of the city was a man named Kyi. The city takes its name after him. One of the symbols of Kyiv is the chestnut tree. In spring, the streets are full of white chestnut flowers.

We are proud of our history and our people. There are many heroes who fought for our Motherland. One of the most famous monuments in Kyiv is the Motherland statue. It symbolises the strength and bravery of Ukrainians.

Today, Ukraine is a modern country. We are famous for our food, music, and traditions. I love my country very much.
