Studying at home.
Paul is twelve and he is French.
Paul is a good student and he usually gets good marks in different subjects.
Last year he didn’t go to school. The truth is he lives in a big city, where there are many schools. But the children couldn’t go to their schools in 2020 because of Covid 19. Paul studied at home. His lessons were on computer. Every morning at half past eight he sat in front of his laptop for three hours and watched and listened to his lessons. The teachers used cameras and interactive worksheets. Paul could talk to his teachers and the other students in his “class”. In the afternoon Paul had to do his homework, he read History and Literature books, did sums, wrote the exercises. He always sent his homework to his teachers in time on Friday evening.
Now all the students can study at school again. Paul is happy to come back to his classroom and to play in the yard with his classmates and friends. The students are having English now. They aren’t running and jumping at this lesson. They are translating a difficult text and Paul’s friend Mary is writing the sentences on the blackboard.
