Reading Comprehension Test
My name is Anna. I live with my parents, and I enjoy helping them.
Every Saturday, I tidy up my room. I use the vacuum cleaner to clean the carpets. I also sweep the floor and dust the chairs and the sofa. I always try to keep the furniture clean.
We have many flowers at home, and I water them twice a week because I love flowers very much.
I often help my mother set the table. I put the plates, forks, and spoons in their places. After lunch and dinner, I usually wash the dishes.
My mother is a great cook, and sometimes I assist her when she bakes cakes. She usually prepares them for holidays or for my birthday.
When I have some free time, my mother asks me to go shopping. I buy bread, eggs, and sugar. Quite often, I go to the market with her to buy fruits and vegetables, and I help carry the bags.
We also have a small country house with a big garden full of trees, bushes, and flowers. There’s always something to do there, and I help my parents with garden work. Every morning, I water the flowers and plants, and I usually take care of the strawberries.
I believe it is very important to help our parents.
