Complete the dialogue with one preposition in each gap.

Sue: Dad will come down hard on you when he finds out you weren’t completely honest about where you were on Friday.

Tim: Yes, I feel a bit bad about that, but you know me. When I set       doing something, nothing can stop me, not even Dad.

Sue: I just wish you could have told him the truth and not involved me. I feel like now you’ve set me         Dad, and I hate that feeling.

Tim: Yes, I get that. I’ll try and talk to him on Saturday. He’s always in a good mood at the weekend.

Sue: James is lovely and polite, and a good friend to you. Just tell Dad the truth. You’ll feel relieved and it will put an end    all the hiding and lying.

I’d love to be able to travel as much as my father did when he was young. After leaving – school in his home country of New Zealand, he decided to take a couple of years off before going to   college to see a bit of the world. This was back in the eighties when   travel was a whole lot cheaper than it is now. Also, he spent most of his time on buses and trains, not planes. He toured around     Netherlands and some other European countries for about a year and then caught a ferry over to the UK. As he’d always dreamed about walking in     Pennines, a mountain range in England, so that’s where he headed. He’s told me lots of stories from those days when he rented a room in a house owned by a couple called     MacNallies. They looked after him well and he’s still in touch all these years later.
