Go Getter 4. Unit 5

I don’t like hip hop, punk or ⁰ t e c h n o. My favourite kinds of music are ¹j     and ² c          music. I play the ³ p      and I’d like to play the ⁴ t        too one day. My friend Henry plays the ⁵v       and my friend Sheila plays the ⁶ c      . We often play together. Our favourite composers are Schubert and Haydn. My friends and I also like ⁷ L      because we like dancing to it.

The Silver Foxes ⁰ gave / took a fantastic concert in the park last night and ¹        [wrote, signed] hundreds of autographs for their fans afterwards.

They are very ²          [talent, talented]. Martina Cooper, the lead singer, also has good looks and great ³            [confidence, confident] on stage. Brad Williams, their drummer, ⁴          [composes, makes] all their songs.

‘We have already ⁵          [joined, recorded] two albums and we hope there will be another one soon,’ he told me.

More crime in our town!

Last night, someone stole £579 from a newsagent’s on Marshall Street in the centre of town. One ⁰ witness said: ‘The door of the newsagent’s was locked, but the ¹       opened it easily. A minute later, he ran out again.’

The police didn’t find any ²              in the newsagent’s because the man wore gloves. But they found some large ³            from size 18 trainers. A ⁴           told our reporter: ‘There are lots of ⁵           in this town, but this one is a very tall man. We’re going to catch him and stop any more ⁶           !’
