Hi Paula,

I’m writing to you because I’m in trouble and I’d like you to give me (1)       [an, some, any] advice. You see, I recently found out that Annie, one of my best friends, has been saying some unpleasant things about me behind my back. Of course, I shouted at her, we had a big argument and we haven’t spoken to (3)             [each other, ourselves, us] since then. For a while, I hoped she’d apologise (4)       [me, on me, to me]for it, but she doesn’t seem to care at all. I really don’t know how to deal with this problem as (5)           [nothing, something, anything]like it has ever happened to me before. I’m quite depressed and I don’t think I can solve the problem by (6)        [me, myself, mine]. So I hope you (7)         [must, might, ought] have some good suggestions for me.

Please write back as soon as you can!

Love,

Jane
