Hi Sofia,

We’re on holiday in Malta at the moment. We’re staying on the island of Gozo for a week! Mum booked the flights ten days ago so it was a total surprise. I can’t believewe’re here. We flew from Manchester airport and the flight wasn’t long, only 3.5 hours. We aren’t on a package holiday but Dad booked a fantastic hotel near the beach. Tomorrow is our last day. ☹

The first day we went to the beach and we all went swimming and I went surfing, too. I wasn’t very good so I fell into the water a lot!! The following day, we found a bike shop andgot bikes for theday and rode for hours.My legs hurt after that, but it was fun.

The next day we went on an excursion by coach.First, we went to the Cittadella – it’s the beautiful old town in Victoria. We walked around the streets and went to a museum. The tour guide there was fantastic and I learned all about the historyof the town. Then we went shopping and I bought some souvenirs for my friends and for me. I got one for you! We ate lunch in a lovely restaurant and then in the afternoon we visited the Ggantija Temple. It’s actually two temples and they’re over 5,500 years old! I took some amazing photos so I can show them to you when we get back. I didn’t think I’d like sightseeing, but I do!

This morning, we went out on a boat trip and Mum andI went diving. Dad stayed with Rob on the boat because he couldn’t go diving – he’s only seven. We saw hundreds of fish of all different colours. It was really cool. I loved diving – I’d like to go again.
