Being a video game designer is a dream come true for a lot of gamers. Game designers are responsible for all aspects of a video game. They are involved in areas such as storylines, characters, maps, scenery and so on. The job offers good employment opportunities, a high salary and a fun working environment. However, it's not an easy job. A video game designer needs to be skilled in different areas including creative writing, computer programming as well as visual design and drawing. A game designer also needs to be imaginative and have good written and verbal communication skills. Game designers have to study hard to gain the qualifications they need but, for them, it's worth it!
