ROBOT PETS OF THE FUTURE
Many children today adore robot pets because they are clever, amusing and easy to take care of. Scientists create them with modern technology and some of them seem almost alive.
One of the most famous robot pets is RoboDog. It looks like a real dog and it can understand simple commands. It has cameras in its eyes and small speakers inside its head. RoboDog can move around the house, play games and even tell funny stories. However, it can’t catch a ball or run very fast like a real dog.
Another popular robot pet is Tiny Dragon. It’s a small made-up creature with bright green eyes and silver feathers on its back. At first, some people are terrified of it because it looks mysterious, but it is actually very peaceful. Tiny Dragon can fly around a room, sit on your shoulder and react to your voice. When it becomes tired, it goes to sleep automatically.
Scientists believe robot pets may become more popular through the ages because they help lonely people and entertain children. Some historians even think they will change society in the future.
To my surprise, my little brother now prefers his robot pet to a real cat! I couldn’t believe my eyes when he built a tiny bed for it in the attic.
