A Day at the Zoo

Last Sunday Lucy and her family went to the zoo. They got up early in the morning because the zoo was in another town. Lucy was very excited because she loved animals very much.

First, the family saw lions and tigers. The lions were sleeping, but the tigers were walking around their cages. Then Lucy visited the monkeys. They were funny and active. One little monkey took a banana from a boy’s bag, and everybody laughed.

After that, Lucy and her brother went to see the elephants. The elephants were very big and friendly. Lucy took many photos of them. Her brother bought ice cream, and they sat near a small lake to rest.

In the afternoon the family watched a dolphin show. The dolphins jumped high and played with balls. Lucy thought it was the best part of the day.

Before going home, they visited the zoo shop. Lucy bought a toy dolphin and some postcards for her friends. The family came home at 7 o’clock in the evening. Lucy was tired but very happy because she had a wonderful day.

Lucy went to the zoo on Saturday.
