Quokka is one of the friendliest Australian animals. Quokkas have a small body with a long tail. They’ve got short brown fur. Strong legs help them run and jump fast. They live in the forests, so eat fruit and leaves. These animals sometimes sleep in a sitting position with their heads on their feet - so cute! Quokkas have smiley faces and are often friendly around people. So, tourists can take photos of them. But local tour guides always say not to feed quokkas with sweets or bread - it can be dangerous for them.
But some Australian animals are extremely dangerous. For example, a box jellyfish. It lives in the ocean. People should be careful in the water: a box jellyfish has poison! If someone touches it, this person should be taken to the local hospital!
