A Day at the Medical Centre
Health is the most important thing we have. When someone has an illness or a serious disease, they need professional help. Yesterday, my friend Mark had a very bad day. It all started in the morning when he woke up and felt terrible.

Doctor Smith: Call the surgeon! We must provide first aid and save him.
Nurse: The ambulance is here. Move the bed backwards into the surgery room!
(At home)
Mum: Mark, wake up! You look terrible. Do you have a headache?
Mark: Yes, Mum. I have a terrible headache, a sore throat, and a bad cough. I feel dizzy too.
Mum: Oh dear! We need to make an appointment immediately. I’ll call the private medical centre right now.
Doctor Smith (to Mark and Mum): Sorry, I must go. Remember, Mark: pay attention to your health and stay in bed!
Mark: Thank you, Doctor. I hope that man will be okay.
(At the hospital)
Doctor Smith: Good morning. What is the problem?
Mark: I feel very weak, Doctor. I have a stomachache and I sneeze a lot.
Doctor Smith: Let me check your breath. Take a deep breath... okay. It’s a typical symptom of the flu.
Mum: Is it a serious disease, Doctor?
Doctor Smith: No, but he needs treatment. Mark, you must take this pill regularly, three times a day.
