The article analyzes problems related to free and open-source software (FOSS) usage on the example of S. S. Prokofiev Severodonetsk Regional Music College. The questionnaire showed that the majority of surveyed students use the Windows operating system in their computers and notebooks. Moreover, the students support the transition of the computer class of the education institution into FOSS.
