Vessel is a generic maritime term applied to all types of floating craft, including non-displacement craft and seaplanes, which are or may be used as means of transport on water. According to the classification of the Ukrainian Register of Shipping, vessels are self-propelled or non-self-propelled floating structures used for navigation purposes, including mixed (river-sea) vessels, ferries, wobblers, dredgers, floating cranes, manned submersibles and deep-sea diving complexes, floating drilling rigs, etc.
