Dramatic activities give students an opportunity to use their own personality in creating the material. Working together in groups helps students feel that they are part of a community. They come to know each other as individuals and as friends. It is important that they all have the opportunity to participate together in their learning. Pair and group work also serves an important pedagogical purpose because it provides more opportunities for individuals to talk than does a teacher-fronted class, as well as a less formal and potentially threatening environment.
